I love summers and vacation bible schools. The only thing I'm dreading now is our 100degree weather. It's been 4 or 5 days in a row. I'm glad I'm not a tree in my yard right now.
Loreena. I understand. It's pretty warm here now too. It's been in the 90s this week so not so bad. We'll get to the 100 degree days with 100% humidity soon.
Hi Lenn, I have noticed the signs up in our area too for vacation bible school! The kids really enjoy it!
Hi Lenn
I loved summer bible school, some great memories.
Have an outstanding weekend.
Lou Ludwig
Even after all these years I still remember summer camp and all the fun we had.
Hi Lenn, How well I am remember vacation Bible school as a kid growing up. These summer sessions help shape who we ultimately become. Thanks for the great memories.
My children went to VBS every sommer when they were younger. Our church held it in the last weekeds before school started back up, sort of a summer end tradition.
Mary. Here too. First the signs, then the Moms and Dads walking the children across the streets to sign up. One thing is clear, they are ALL SMILES.
Lou. I can't recall VBS when I was a child, too long ago. But, I recall taking my own children.
Terry. Never went to camp either. I spent summers on my grandparents' farm. Sort of like Vacation Bible School if you knew my grandparents.
William. These are fond memories for many children.
Paddy. Nice memories for the children, indeed.
Vacation Bible Schools are a great part of summer activities for children and their parents as well. There are so many components to it. Friendship, knowledge, expanding ones faith and even networking. It is a great place to meet and make new friends with shared interests.
